  • Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles are recruiting for a Key Account Manager (Fleet) on a full time, permanent basis.  This a field based national role.

    What you will be doing?

    • Reporting into the National Fleet Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping that growth. You’ll identify and win major fleet opportunities, delivering outstanding key account performance against ambitious targets, working with some of our most high‑profile and influential customers.
    • You’ll bring confidence, credibility and gravitas, with the ability to influence and engage senior decision‑makers across both our customer base and the wider Volkswagen Group. Your communication skills and natural ability to build rapport will enable you to operate effectively at every level.
    • Using strong market insight and commercial intelligence, you’ll proactively win new business, grow existing relationships and track performance against clear objectives. You’ll act as a strategic partner to your key accounts, offering informed guidance on market trends and future developments, and playing a vital role in strengthening Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ performance.
    • We value entrepreneurial thinking and give you the freedom to lead new business wins, manage re‑tenders and introduce fresh ideas and smarter ways of working within a supportive, high‑performing environment.

    Skills & experience you can bring to the role:

    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Effective relationship building
    • Highly effective influencing and negotiation skills across a range of senior stakeholders
    • High commercial awareness and acumen
    • Understanding of the fleet market with Account management and B2B sales experience
    • Ability to manage high volume complex B2B sales
    • Proven ability to achieve commercial targets and objectives

I’ve worked for Volkswagen Group UK for almost 32 years. That may sound like a lifetime, but a fair number of colleagues across the business have been around for a similar amount of time. I think that clearly illustrates what a great place to work this is. There’s such a wide range of roles and benefits available, that there’s no reason to move elsewhere. The Direct Sales teams across all of our brands were established fairly recently to consolidate the areas that focus on selling our vehicles directly to customers. I’m the Fleet Development Manager within the team and we’re primarily responsible for selling vehicles to the various channels within the fleet industry.
